Welcome back to Chef Anton’s Magical Menu of Pool Ball Wizardry. Thank you for all of your positive comments concerning last month's delicacy & for your entries into my contest. This month's delicacy, Miller Light with a Twist, is a version of the classic Miller Light shot which was popularized by the legendary Miz, Steve Mizerak. Set the balls up as diagrammed. First, you will hit the cue ball with top left-hand english pocketing the one through five balls in their respective pockets as seen in the original version. But now for "the twist." When you announce to the crowd you will be pocketing all six balls in one shot, inevitably some wise guy in the audience will scream that you have the shot set up incorrectly. This is because usually the cue ball will go three rails pocketing the six in the upper left hand corner. Not this time. We will make it in the upper right. The secret "twist" is after you strike the cue ball, you will roll the cue stick towards the six ball as diagrammed. If your timing is right, the cue ball will come three rails out of the corner and be intercepted by the cue stick which will slowly guide the cue ball into the right hand corner. This is really a beautiful shot when performed correctly. Good luck and Bon Appetit. Send a betcha or an original trick shot and win a FREE Copy ofI need your help. I am in search of learning every “betcha” in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding. So if you know any “grifts”, even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed video for every “betcha” sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway. Please e-mail me at Betcha@ChefAnton.com or mail your entries to: Chef Anton’s Trick Shot Contest 6213 Sacramento Ave Alta Loma, CA 91701 Thanks and Bon Appetit!!!
